Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about applications, lotteries, and enrollment. School-specific rules and adopted policies control if they differ from this general overview.

What is an enrollment lottery?

When a school receives more eligible applications than available seats, it may use a public random drawing under its approved enrollment policy to determine offers and waitlist order.

When can I apply for 2027-28?

Applications open December 11, 2026. The closing date and any school-specific deadlines will be announced.

Is the interest form an application?

No. The interest form is only for updates. Families must complete an official enrollment application to be considered for admission.

Does applying early improve my lottery chances?

For applications received within a school's established lottery application window, selection follows that school's approved lottery policy. Review the school-specific policy for details.

Do siblings receive priority?

Some schools may have approved sibling preferences. Preferences vary by school and must be confirmed in the school's current enrollment and lottery policy.

Can I apply to more than one GCC school?

Application options and requirements may vary by school. Check the official application instructions when enrollment opens.

What if my child is placed on a waitlist?

Follow the school's waitlist instructions and keep your contact information current. Any offers from a waitlist are made under the applicable school's policy.

How will I learn about an enrollment offer?

GCC will provide the notification method and response deadlines through its official enrollment instructions. Make sure your contact details are accurate.

What if I miss the application deadline?

Contact the school for information about late applications, available seats, and any applicable waitlist procedures.

Does my currently enrolled student need to reapply?

Continuing-student requirements may vary by school and program. Contact your current school before submitting a new application.
