Dear GCC students, families, staff, supporters, and community members,
As we begin our 21st school year, we recognize and reflect on the journey that Gateway Community Charters (GCC) has shared with our students, staff, families, and community. Gateway Community Charters continues to refine, improve, and fulfill its vision of creating quality school choices, with an emphasis on serving the needs of vulnerable, unserved, and underserved populations and is exceptionally proud of our Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH) National Showcase status as well as being named a seven-time Best Place to Work in Sacramento by the Sacramento Business Journal.
Our theme for this year is "Level Up". This is a call to action, an invitation to embrace growth, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We believe that every student has the potential to achieve greatness, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
As we embark on another chapter in our journey, I welcome you to join us on this journey through our Blueprint for Excellence. This document serves to share with you our stakeholders, where we've been, where we are, and where we are going. After 20 years of serving the greater Sacramento community, we continue to look for ways to build and deepen our impact on the region.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our staff for their unwavering dedication and commitment to our shared mission of serving our most vulnerable, unserved, and underserved communities. Together, we have created a community of learners that extends beyond the walls of our nine charter schools, reaching out to touch the lives of over 5,500 students in the greater Sacramento region.
Our Blueprint for Excellence serves as a roadmap for the year ahead, outlining our key priorities and initiatives. It reflects our collective vision and aspirations for the future, and I am confident that it will guide us toward even greater heights of excellence and impact. Within its pages, you will find our mission, vision, goals, priorities, and what we believe our students need to succeed in a global society, all designed to empower our students and ensure their success.
Together, we will create an environment that fosters innovation, cultivates curiosity, and inspires a lifelong love of learning.
Invite each and every one of you to explore the Blueprint for Excellence in detail, to internalize its message, and to let it serve as a guiding document in our endeavors.
